Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Time's Up

Well, Dadu arrived today, to take over Chicklet caring duties.

Chicklet was so excited to see her Dadu, that Bozzy Wozzy was able to leave with a fond farewell - no tears from either of us!

It warmed my heart to see them getting on so well. They were both glowing with happiness and there was laughter and animation.

Chicklet was getting annoyed that I was taking Dadu's attention away from her, so that was when I figured it was my best opportunity to depart without there being a scene.

I left notes regarding everything, as well as explaining everything, but Chicklet has a handle on it all anyway, so she will issue the necessary instructions.

Here I am in a 17th floor apartment overlooking the city, the river and the casino. This is the view from my bed - I was lying in bed as I took this photo.

It's almost midnight on a Monday and looking at the traffic on the road and the people walking the streets, you would think it was the weekend. It's crazy busy down there.

It's almost midnight and I am exhausted.

When I wake in the morning, I will have 24 hours to myself. What to do. What to do.

Nite all.
