Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

If The Cap Fits

I put my 'business' cap on today!

I managed emails and made phone calls and paid invoices.

I checked some invoices against some of the stock I've receive, which was pretty exciting.

I love all of the journals, notebooks and books that I ordered at the gift fair and today I discovered for the first time that I received a free package with one of my orders, which I know I can use in a positive way.

I haven't even touched my website since I returned from my trip away, because there is so much OTHER stuff to do!  I will save the best for last.

I have accepted The Motivator's offer of help to get my workspace organised. She is the storage master and with all the extra stock and paperwork in my life now, I need all the help that I can get!

I hope that by the end of tomorrow, I'll be feeling less cluttered and more organised, which will give me the motivation to move forward at a more rapid pace than I have in the last week!

I have successfully begun very paragraph in this post with 'I'.

I now need to go to bed.

Nite all
