Nice to see you!

Three major events occurred for me last year (2010), all in the space of about 2 weeks. I turned 50. The following day I got married. Two weeks later, my oldest daughter became pregnant with her first child and my first grandchild.

Most middle-aged people will tell you that in their minds, they still feel 20 something. It's the same for me.

Wasn't it only yesterday that I was planning a night out with guys from the surf club? That gorgeous new perm. Flaired, cuffed denims and the red t-shirt with the off-the-shoulder frill. Corked platform wedgies. **sigh**

Suddenly I'm looking in the mirror and wondering how 30 years can flash by so damned quickly!

So here I am in cyberspace, sharing my genuine shock and horror with anyone who'll listen and maybe I'll even meet some other over 50s who find themselves in the same predicament!

Welcome to my dilemna!!

Another Fun-filled Day

It all started with the bloody vacuum cleaner not working when I needed it the most!

GRRRRRR

I had a well scripted, well co-ordinated plan to get some 'stuff' done before I went for coffee this morning, but the first hurdle caused the whole plan to go out the window.

My frustration was overwhelming.  My rage was excessive.  My demands on Adoring Husband were unreasonable.

I was a bitch on wheels. Bitter, twisted and ugly.

I'm certain that Adoring Husband was feeling monumental relief as I left the house to meet the girls for coffee.

All of the girls, except the lovely snorting Tweedle Dee, were unavailable for coffee, but we had a great time and we both felt quite disappointed when I had to leave for an 11am appointment.

I really must stop making arrangements for Tuesday mornings, so that I can spent time lavishly enjoying good coffee, good conversation and good snorting laughter!

At 11am, the Narellan Pool guy arrived at our doorstep to take a look at the back yard and give us a quote for a ... yes you guessed it ... POOL!! The quote was as expected and now the discussions and negotiations begin (between AH and myself).

Watch this space.

AH and I enjoyed a quick lunch of leftovers before The Motivator came for a visit.

We had much to discuss and plans to make for the resurrection and reconditioning of my workspace. It's a big job ahead of me and a big job ahead of her to supervise me in this huge task! I must take a 'before' photo tomorrow ... I feel that the changes will be like Adoring Husband's relief ... monumental!

I'm off to bed.

Nite all.
